Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ Live in Concert returns to the Hollywood Bowl with Lea Michele and Harvey Fierstein
Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” will be brought to life at the Hollywood Bowl (2301 N Highland Ave.) in Los Angeles via a live-to-film concert experience on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Disney animated film and the live event will feature an all-star cast of performers including Lea Michele as Ariel, Harvey Fierstein as Ursula, Cheech Marin as Chef Louis, Peter Gallagher as King Triton, Leo Gallo as Prince, Ken Page as Sebastian and special guest Alan Menken, who will perform songs from the Oscar and Grammy Award-winning score. “‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’ is one of the greatest Disney villain songs created for one of the most flamboyant Disney villains and written by the absolute genius team of Menken and Ashman,” Firestein said via a press release. “Returning to the Hollywood Bowl as Ursula is a dream from which I hope to ... read more
